Manasi Sapre is a senior media professional who has worked on strategic positions across Television and Digital media over the last 15 years. Manasi started her career in ETV Hyderabad where she produced several popular non-fiction shows. Moving to Mumbai in 2004- she worked in Kids programming at UTV’s Hungama TV – where she acquired programmes like Doraemon, Shin-Chan, Ninja Hattori – which still dominate the ratings after more than 10 years of being on air. She has been part of the core team at UTV broadcasting from 2006 and has been part of launching several successful channels like UTV Bindass, UTV Movies, UTV Action, UTV Action Telugu and UTV World Movies.

Manasi took a break in 2013 from the corporate world to pursue her two passions: writing and Wildlife. She finished a course in Biodiversity Management from the prestigious Bombay Natural History Society ( BNHS) in 2013. She wrote her novel Pune Murder Chronicles which was published in 2014 by RumourBooks and within 2 weeks topped the charts of Crossword Fiction Bestseller.

In 2014 She moved to the digital medium by joining LebaraPlay- the premium Subscription VOD platform for the NRI population in Europe, Australia, New Zeland and Canada, as a content head. There she cemented the position of LebaraPlay’s Tamil pack as the market leader across territories. Manasi moved to VIU- a premium technology and media company in July 2016 as a content head. At VIU she is responsible for content strategy, content programming, production of premium content and acquisitions. Launching shortly across Hindi and Telugu markets in April 2017- Manasi is responsible for introducing premium fiction productions presented by A-list industry leaders like Vikram Bhatt and Annapurna Studios. VIU’s Tamil pack will be launched soon with equally compelling names.

Her core specialty is defining brand and content strategy, identifying right content for the right target group, producing premium content, acquiring & localizing syndicated content.Manasi is an obsessive reader and animal lover. World Cinema and trekking are some of her other passions. She lives in Mumbai with her Husband Ronojoy and dog Myshkin. She read English literature at Jawaharlal Nehru University and got her MS in Media Studies from the University of North Texas. She hails from a small town on the border of Maharashtra and Karnataka- Sangli, where she completed her schooling.
